Game Recap

Conference match up between Verona and Sun Prairie tonight in a rainy cold evening. Sun Prairie went up on Verona 0-2 in the first 25min as they snuck two by Verona’s keeper George Ohm as they tested the weather’s effects on the game. As the half progressed Verona started to climb back. Bennett Luttinen takes a shot from 20 yards out to put the Wildcats on the board. Andres Temozihui and Jack Knight net two more goes in the first half to go up 3-2 into half time. The rain slowly let up in the second half but Sun Prairie’s Hagerman nets the equalizer. In the 72nd minute Jose Lazaro-Padilla receives a drop pass from Andres Temozihui for a delivered ball bouncing off the back of a Sun Prairie defender from 22 yards out to the far left corner of the goal. This puts the score 4-3 in Verona’s favor to end the night. Wildcats now 13-3-1 overall and 6-1-1 in conference.
