Meet Recap

The Verona Girls Golf team got eclipsed by Middleton in a conference triangular today. Verona’s team score of 171 was 4 shots behind Middleton’s 167. Host Madison East did not field a full team for the event and thus forfeited to both the Wildcats and Cardinals. Verona moves to 3-1 in conference.

Individually, the Wildcats were led by Courtney Shorter who shot 38 and Lauren Shorter who shot 39. Claire Dwain, Caitlyn Ott, and Celia Donny rounded out the varsity scoring all with 47.

The JV Cats were also edged out by Middleton, and moved to 3-1 on the conference. Andrea Schleeper and Emilee Rebholz led the squad with 50 and 51 respectively. Rounding out the scoring for JV were Kari Becker (52), Alli Albert (54), and Meredith Voss (57).
